A high percentage of animal departure in the country from poisoning obliges livestock breeders to make maximum efforts to a decrease in the incidence and case of animals due to poisoning. Therefore, in the preparation of veterinary specialists of all levels, it is necessary to devote more time and attention to the study of the causes of poisoning, methods of diagnosis, prevention and methods of treating animals. Since there are many causes of poisoning, the author prepared for the publication on this subject a series of textbooks in which he explains to students how to delve into the intricacies of the poisoning process, at what stage and how to get rid of it and which preventive measures must be implemented in order to avoid to avoid Similar cases in the future.
In this manual, the author describes in sufficient detail toxic plants, which by chance, and sometimes not accidentally, fall into the animal"s body. For each plant there is a drawing, its botanical characteristic, the place of growth, the time of manifestation of maximum toxicity, which poisons are contained in the plant and which animals are sensitive to these poisons are given. And then for each plant - symptoms of poisoning, diagnosis, methods of treating an animal poisoned by this plant, and prevention.
