Understanding the principles of treatment of RAS is the basis for the preparation of any future surgeon, therefore, the study of surgical methods must be devoted enough time.
This book consists of five chapters that collect real cases. Each chapter is opened with a small introduction, in which those methods that will be considered further are listed. The main part is devoted to the description of several clinical cases that are combined by the type of wound or used methods of treatment and are located in order from simple to more complex. In each case, attention is focused not on the theory, but on the description of the treatment process itself, so that the reader can get a clear idea of those steps that should be taken to use this or that method.
The first chapter is a review of the methods of conservative treatment of RAS. The second chapter is devoted to the consideration of surgical methods, especially the surgical treatment of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a fundamental stage of treatment. The third and fourth chapter examines the most common methods of plastic surgery: the closure of defects with skin flaps (chapter 3) and skin implants (chapter 4)
The last, fifth chapter is devoted to more complex methods that are not so widespread in general practice, but they should always be borne in mind when conducting complex cases (axial skin flaps, bioregenerative therapy and a review of the simplest reconstructive techniques) Each case accompanies a selection of beautiful photographs that clearly show all the actions step by step.
Due to the fact that the book is focused on the use of common methods of treatment of RAS, where special attention is paid to describing the technique of performing various manipulations, it will be an excellent textbook for students studying surgery, as well as for young specialists and doctors who want to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of veterinary plastic surgery and the treatment of wounds
