This publication is a manual dedicated to light microscopes for medical and biological studies. Recently, changes have occurred not only in the nomenclature of light microscopes, but new directions have appeared.
A brief information is presented in the manual about modern light microscopes and their design, research methods and tuning microscopes, as well as the rules for caring for microscopes. The terms and definitions, the necessary formulas of microscopy are given. An analysis of the nomenclature of recent years of leading world-class manufacturers using catalogs and data from sites of the companies itself over the past 10 years (until 2020) was carried out.
The materials used in this book are the result of experimental works carried out during 2007-2019, on modern equipment, which was in the demosal of the company KF Microscope Plus, St. Petersburg, provided by fir-mammar Importers of LLC Shedi, Moscow (microscopes “MoC”, China), OPTEK LLC, Moscow (microscopes “Carl Zeiss”, Germany), Olympus-Pop Moskva LLC (microscopes “Olympus”, Japan), MO “ Department of Medical Technology ”, Yekaterinburg (microscopes“ Micros ”, Austria) and the company“ Levenhuk ”, Moscow - St. Petersburg (microscopes“ Levenhuk ”, USA) There are no results of the testing of modern microscopes of different companies and the opinion of specialists of the biological direction received at microscopy trainings (2009–2019) The results of the forecasts conducted with the help of virtual trainings of Zeiss, Olympus, and Nikon are given. Listeners of the MAPO SPb, ITMO, St. Petersburg State University, students and amateurs-microscopists took part in the schedule and work with the microscope. Service works and demonstrations with image analysis systems and cameras were carried out by employees of the company KF Microscope Plus LLC, St. Petersburg.
