Osteopathy today is a new specialty of higher medical education, the most dynamically developing area of modern medicine, based on the principles of holism, anatomy, biomechanics and palpative skill of the doctor. This textbook is designed to study the basics of osteopathy as a synthesis of science, philosophy and art. In the materials of the textbook, in chronological order, three main sections of osteopathy are highlighted: structural, cranial and visceral. The main thematic anatomical and physiological information, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques are presented. The basic methodology of osteopathic diagnosis and treatment is given. Particular attention is paid to the chief instrument of osteopath - palpation. Original illustrations and schemes are designed to increase the effectiveness of the perception of theoretical material. The content of the textbook is fully consistent with the program of professional training in the specialty "osteopathy". The textbook is intended for listeners of the departments of osteopathy, amusing doctors
