The textbook was prepared by employees of the Department of Oncology and Radiation Therapy of the Faculty of Control of the Russian National Research University named after N.I. Pirogov, together with employees of the Russian Oncological Scientific Center named after N.N. Blokhina RAMS.
The second edition of the textbook sets out methods of timely diagnosis of tumor diseases, the principles of their treatment. The issues of palliative treatment of cancer patients, the treatment of pain syndrome are considered. Recommendations for the prevention of tumor diseases and medical examination of cancer patients are given. At the modern level, the issues of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of tumor diseases of the thyroid gland, lung, gastrointestinal tract, skin, bones and soft tissues, mammary gland, female reproductive system, and genitourinary system are highlighted. The large section is dedicated to tumors of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, lips, tongue, larynx and larynx.
The textbook is intended for students of medical schools and colleges.
