The second edition of the textbook for students of medical universities complies with the Federal Educational Standard of the Russian Federation (2020) and the teaching program at medical faculties was expanded due to the presentation of the materials that are required when licensing the university of doctors in the United States and the UK.
Time requires changes in any medical profession, including obstetrics.
Despite the antiquity of the specialty, tactics, specific clinical approaches in solving certain problems of pregnancy and delivery are constantly being improved. The presented textbook has absorbed changes over the past four years that have passed between the first edition and the present. In particular, it contains those regulatory acts that are mandatory for use in the Russian Federation: the procedure for providing obstetric and gynecological assistance in the Russian Federation and clinical recommendations, which since December 2018 have gained the force of legislative acts. Thus, the modern practical obstetrics integrated into the classic text is of interest to students not only of medical universities, but also of all forms of postgraduate continuous medical education.
This book in Russian can serve not only to foreigners, but also students from Russia who plan to nostrify the diploma and work abroad.
