The textbook was created according to the curriculum by leading specialists of the country - employees of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Institute of Clinical Medicine FGAOU in the First MGMU named after THEM. Sechenov "Ministry of Health of Russia (Sechenov University).
Along with the fundamental principles of classical obstetrics, modern achievements regarding pregnancy and childbirth related to the introduction of new medical technologies are highlighted. The idea of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapy of the main complications of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period has been expanded. Particular attention is paid to embryogenesis, the development of the Mother Placent-Stead system, and the prenatal diagnosis of congenital diseases of the fetus. The modern aspects of family planning, auxiliary reproductive technologies are reflected.
Concentrated presentation of the material, accompanied by color illustrations, tables, schemes, facilitates the perception of information.
