Elizabeth Kybler Ross wrote the book “On Death and Dying” in 1969, first formulating five stages of grief in it: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. A separate chapter of the book is devoted to each of the stages. Since then, on the basis of this scheme, thousands of scientific works have been written that applied it to a variety of situations: from organizing the work of hospices to corporate governance.
