The textbook was prepared in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of Russia dated 10.02.2016 No. 83n "On approval of qualification requirements for medical and pharmaceutical workers with secondary medical and pharmaceutical education" (registered in the Ministry of Justice of Russia 09.03.2016 No. 41337)
The manual highlights the main sections of children"s ophthalmology: Features of anatomy and physiology of the organ of vision of childhood, methods of studying the visual functions of the eye, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, standards for the implementation of the necessary diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations, and the provision of emergency care for children with eye diseases as well as measures to care for them.
The issues of refraction and accommodation, pathology of the eyelids and the lacrimal apparatus, conjunctiva, horn and sclera, vascular tract, retina, optic nerve, lens and vitreous, orbit are presented with glaucoma and traumatic damage to the eye - then, from What are children"s ophthalmologists in everyday practice, nursing interventions are described in diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations, for diseases and injuries of the organ of vision.
Modern ideas are given about the causes of the most common diseases of the organ of vision.
