The monograph in the form of lecture essays discusses the possibilities of personalized predictive diagnosis and targeted therapy of socially significant pathology of the cardiovascular system as part of the development of 4p medicine.
4p medicine is based on four principles: personalization, prediction, prevention and partisipativity (patient participation) Within the framework of these concepts, the authors describe new minimally invasive methods of molecular diagnosis of signal molecules expression as markers of cardiovascular pathology in samples of buccal epithelium and saliva. A similar approach may be applicable for early diagnosis and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment of cardiovascular pathology, including in elderly and senile patients, in whom the invasive procedure for taking blood can cause certain complications.
The publication presents a methodology for studying the molecular mechanisms of vasoprotective action of short peptides - a new class of potential drugs in a model of replicate aging of the vascular endothelium.
