The leadership presents data on a unique and not fully recognized huge world of microbiota, setting the open surfaces of the human body and the gastrointestinal tract of the child and performing both vital positive and pathogenic functions. The characteristic of various representatives of the microflora of the child’s intestines with a presentation of their role in the microbial community is given.
The book highlights modern views on the composition and features of the formation of the child’s microbiocenosis, the factors that affect the features of its formation are described. Particular attention is paid to information about the factors of pathogenicity of the conditionally pathogenic flora, the presentation of their pathogenic properties under altered conditions of existence. The important aspects of the phenomenon of the translocation of conditionally pathogenic microbes, which are accompanied by the development of endogenous infections - both localized and generalized, are considered.
Data on antibiotic-associated microdisbiosis, risk factors and clinical features of Clostridia Diffi Cile infections in children are shown. The clinical characteristics of endogenous infections caused by conditionally pathogenic flora are presented. A clinical assessment of the use of probiotics in childhood is given, indications and contraindications for diseases of various genesis from the standpoint of evidence -based medicine are described.
