This leadership is an attempt to summarize the knowledge of the interactions of the owner (macroorganism) and microorganisms at the level of cellular metabolism. A comprehensive overview of the information on the paths and mechanisms of sensory perception of nutrients, as well as on the laws that underlie metabolic changes in the cell homeostasis in the infectious process, has been carried out. The book highlights the peculiar “reprogramming” of the cell with pathogen - switching the cell resources to ensuring the needs of microorganism. The metabolic pathways involved in the pathogen to bypass the immune response by macroorganism are considered. Information is given about the possible clinical application of the information received, as well as about experimental and analytical methods available to researchers today.
