The training manual outlines topical issues of etiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology and clinical course of meningococcal infection in children. Modern methods of diagnosis of this nosological form (bacteriological, serological, molecular genetic, etc) are presented, the main differential diagnostic criteria are given. The provision of assistance at the prehospital stage, the treatment of children with meningococcal infection, including infusion therapy, the appointment of etiopathogenetic agents, as well as immunocorrogative, immun replacement and adjuvant therapy, are considered in detail. Modern possibilities of vaccine -prevention of meningococcal infection are shown.
