The leadership presents the main sections of medical mycology. The issues of morphology, physiology and systematics of mushrooms are considered. The main cellular and humoral factors of congenital and adaptive immunity are characterized. The main features of the development of antimicotic immune response and immunological diagnosis of fungal invasions are described. Methods of laboratory diagnostics of mycosis are given. Particular attention is paid to the characterization of mushrooms, sources of infection and pathogenesis of mycose development. The leadership is illustrated by original drawings and photographs.
