The third edition of the national leadership “Medical Informatics in Public Health and Healthcare Organization” was prepared after the second edition (2022) due to the need to expand the submission of healthcare organizers in the field of medical computer science in the context of accelerating the rate of digital transformation of the industry. The book was written by 85 authors - leading specialists in the field of demography, health, economics and management. It consists of 7 parts and 77 chapters. Compared to the second edition in the book, a new, “0” part of “Medical Informatics is the basis of the organization of health and clinical practice”. It describes the architecture and content of the discipline, the process of obtaining and presenting new knowledge, the trends in the development of Biomedical Informatics, formulated problems on the digitalization of Russian healthcare and proposed ways to overcome them. The first part gives the final assessment of the country"s health system, proposals for its development until 2025 and analysis of the lessons of pandemia Covid-19. In the second part, indicators of public health, demographic indicators and socio-economic conditions in our country are considered. The third part describes the state of the healthcare system at the macro level, in the fourth - the organization of medical care at the level of individual services, in the fifth - at the level of a medical organization, including informatization issues. The sixth part proposes recommendations on modern health management methods. The management contains comprehensive information about the results, state and activities of the healthcare system of the Russian Federation, external factors affecting the work of the industry, as well as on the management features in this area. The material is structured, accompanied by 128 tables and 384 drawings.
