A book based on a five -year study of why some people are much more productive than others - and what helps them achieve high results.

Why do some people work more productively than others? A deceptively simple question that bothers professionals from different fields of activity. Now there is an answer to it in your hands - thanks to the unique study of Morten Hansen, in which 5,000 employees and managers were involved - and which lasted 5 years.

According to the results of the study, he managed to single out seven practices of "smart" productive work that everyone can use to save time and achieve the best results.

Each of the practices Hansen illustrated the heroes of his large -scale research. Each chapter has questions and key thoughts that will help you evaluate your productivity, work on your strengths and weaknesses. When you know more about your personal style of work, mini-questionnaires, tests and practical recommendations of the author will help you become more productive.

This book, based on a huge statistical base and a long study, will definitely help you work better - and less.

For whom this book
A book for everyone who wants to work smarter and learn about the habits of the most productive people.

From the author
In 2011, I launched one of the most comprehensive research projects devoted to individual working performance that have ever been undertaken. I gathered a team of specialists who own the methods of statistical analysis, and began to draw up a conceptual scheme of my work: a set of hypotheses about which behavior leads to high performance. I examined the scattered assumptions that I found in more than 200 published scientific work, and added to them my own thoughts that arose on the basis of previous discussions with hundreds of managers and managers. I also conducted a deep interview with 120 professionals and conducted a pilot survey of 300 people. At the final stage of the study, we checked the concept that has formed with us using a survey of 5,000 managers and employees of companies.

In order to systematize the extensive set of potential factors of "smart work", I grouped them in the category that scientists evaluate as important for working performance. Imagine that the work consists of the characteristics of official duties (what a person should do), the development of skills (how a person improves his abilities), motivation factors (why a person makes efforts) and working relations (the one with whom and how interacts Human).

With this initial list of factors in my hands, my team and I developed a survey consisting of 96 points, and tested it on a sample of 300 managers and subordinates. We also tracked how many hours a week people worked, and appreciated their performance compared to their colleagues. Thus, we were able to compare how the hours of their work and our "smart" factors affect their performance.

In the end, we found that, it seems, seven methods of "smart work" reveal the main riddle of high performance (It"s funny that everything always comes down to a list of seven).
