The work considers all known methods of vision correction in their evolution - from obsolete to the most modern and relevant. A detailed historical excursion was made at a time when the foundations and principles of vision correction were only born. At the same time, it is described about the achievements and discoveries of the most famous scientists - the ancestors of various vision correction technologies. In detail the advantages and disadvantages of all correction methods that are at their disposal of surgeons-ophthalmologists are described in our days. A comparative analysis of laser correction technologies was carried out based on research by scientists from different countries.
Particular attention is paid to the methodology of laser vision correction Relex Smile as the most effective and safe. Various aspects of this technology are considered - indications, contraindications, features and advantages, which is made in Russian medical literature for the first time. Separately, practical (surgical) manipulations are given, and the course (video recording) of the real operation by the Relex Smile method can be viewed by a QR code. In addition, the publication illustrates 246 drawings and photographs taken during operations, as well as pictures of modern diagnostic and surgical equipment.
