The leadership systematizes the range of modern ideas about etiopathogenesis, various aspects of diagnosis and treatment of children with intestinal invasion.
The evolution of views on the essence of pathology, the variety of clinicalomorphological forms of intestinal implementation, the transformation of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, due to new knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the intestine in childhood, the introduction of progressive technologies for examining and treatment of patients, including surgical. For the first time, issues regarding the disease are discussed from the standpoint of the physiological patterns of intestinal blood flow as the basis of the concept of pathogenesis of intestinal invariation. Separate chapters are devoted to intrauterine invagination of the intestines and its recurrent form. An original algorithm for justification of the choice of differentiated surgical tactics is given, depending on the effectiveness of previous therapy and morphofunctional changes in the structure of invagination.
All basic provisions of the book are agreed with the current edition of federal clinical protocols (recommendations) developed by the Russian Association of Children"s Surgeons.
The publication is intended for children"s surgeons, pediatricians, as well as to general surgeons that provide emergency medical care for children with acute diseases of the abdominal organs
