The leadership sets out the most pressing issues of imposing intestinal stoma in children, as well as examined errors in their imposition and typical complications. Data on the history of the issue, the classification of intestinal stoma are presented. The most frequent causes are given that requiring intestinal fistulas in childhood (low intestinal obstruction, necrotic enterocolitis, Hirschprung disease, anorectal malformations, injury, intestinal resection in peritonitis) Methods of the formation of intestinal stom (enterostoma, enterostoma with intestinal sue, appendicostoma, colostoma), positive and negative moments of various methods, errors and complications with colo- and enterostomy are described. Separately, the issues of conducting children with entero- and colostomas, as well as with complications arising from the closure of intestinal stoma, are separately considered.
