The book is devoted to the study of the physical and mechanical properties of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract and their compounds. This is the first and so far the only work in which intestinal anastomoses are considered from the point of view of mechanics. The study provides an extensive overview and critical analysis of the state of affairs in the field of the study of the intestinal seam, the experimental methods used are currently used to study intestinal sustments, and the controversial issues of the anastomosis of the abdominal organs are highlighted. The authors substantiated and used experimental methods that allowed to clarify some aspects of the theory and practice of the intestinal seam.
