Over the past 10 years, illustrated lectures, the participants of the Sitl Discussion Club have contributed to the popularization of interdisciplinary approach to dental treatment in the USA and other countries. In the journal of this club, in addition to seminars and other educational events, a lot of information was published on this issue, and at some point Michael Cohen and his colleagues realized that it was time to submit the available data in the form of a textbook available to all dentists. The advantage of the interdisciplinary approach is to combine the capabilities of several specialists for planning and conducting optimal dental treatment. Properly organized and carefully planned therapy, taking into account the existing alternative options, helps to achieve the best result. Of course, a responsible and informed patient must help the treatment as much as possible by following the recommendations of the attending physician. Clinical and fundamental studies led to a significant improvement in modern dental practice. Currently, dentists can very accurately determine the correspondence of the periodontological status of not a new, but at the same time practical classification, which includes I-IV types of passionate (the classification was developed in the 60s of the last century by the American Society of periodontalists and in 1967 was adopted by the American Academy of Passontology after The merger of these two organizations) In this book, much attention is paid to the provision of dental help to patients, the periodontological status of which corresponds to the III or IV type. However, even with a relatively favorable state of periodontal (I and II types), dental rehabilitation can be very complicated. Undoubtedly, practitioners of doctors will draw a lot of useful things for themselves, having learned what are the views on the treatment of leading specialists in their field. Of course, there are several options for treating the same condition. New materials and methods have made it possible to improve the quality of treatment and satisfy the all kinds of patients of patients for therapy results. Today, to draw up a treatment plan, more data is needed than before.
