The monograph discusses modern ideas about risk factors, pathogenesis, diagnosis and prevention of atherosclerosis in men of young and middle age. The results of the main most important international and own research on this topic are presented. Separate sections are devoted to the connection of atherosclerosis with a violation of adipokin and increthic metabolism, as well as the influence of genetic, epigenetic, professional and climatogeographic factors on the development of atherosclerosis at a young age. The issues of early vascular aging and forecasting of atherosclerosis on the basis of studies are highlighted. The concept of modern treatment and preventive measures aimed at preventing the development of atherosclerosis and associated diseases is described.
