The book based on more than 25 years of practice of conducting patients with influenza in Russia and the CIS countries, updated guidelines of WHO according to epidemiological supervision, clinical diagnostics and treatment of patients with influenza, recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Russia, leading medical societies of Russia and foreign countries are given by etiology data, epidemiology, immunopathogenesis, laboratory and differential diagnosis of influenza and epidemiological supervision of this infection. The issues of treating patients with uncomplicated and complicated forms of influenza, pregnant women and children are highlighted, and co-infection of influenza and Covid-19 is described. A separate section of the book is devoted to specific and non -specific prevention as an integral part of the fight against influenza and other respiratory infections.
