The book contains numerous literary data and results of the author’s own scientific research in the field of medical use of hyaluronic acid. The issues related to the basic characteristics of the biopolymer, such as molecular weight, molecular mass distribution, the structure of stitched hydrogels, and antioxidant properties are highlighted in detail. All these parameters are considered through the prism of the practical application of materials based on hyaluronan in injection cosmetology. From biochemical positions, modern ideas about the molecular cell aging of the skin are outlined. The practical results of scientific research of new generation preparations created on the basis of macromolecular complexes of hyaluronic acid with gold nanoparticles for tissue rejuvenation are presented.
