About the book
"How to reveal the murder" is exciting, and in some places a shocking and thrilling story about the career of a forensic expert. Includes the preface by Dr. Richard Sheperd, the author of the bestseller "unnatural causes".

Destroyed skulls. Gas masks. Acids with acids. Salted parts of human bodies. Not the most ordinary items, isn"t it? But for the chief forensic expert Derek and the judicial secretary Polin - all this is part of the working routine in the office of the world -famous forensic medicine of the Guy Hospital in London.

Derek played a key role in the investigation of the most high -profile mass disasters and murders in the UK. He also contributed to forensic science: the innovative methods developed by him are now widely used by colleagues, in particular, they help to identify the serial killer and simplify the conviction.

These intriguing and honest memories, excellently set out, will help you visit the world of those who investigate crimes (the most terrible!) You will find out how they decide the most difficult puzzles and unravel the seemingly hopeless affairs.

For everyone who is interested in stories about representatives of heroic professions, their unknown side of life

From the author
The topic of death has always been among the forbidden. In Western culture, fear of the unknown is mixed with it, because modern science does not find an explanation of what is happening with “self -awareness” and personality after death. It can only confirm the fact of the destruction of the physical body. For obvious reasons, we try not to think too much about her if there is no serious reason for this. At the same time, most people are curious to find out what the experts of the region created to investigate the causes of death do, and what representatives of this mysterious profession face.

It is difficult for people to understand how specialists like us voluntarily participate in the search process associated with the death and see the source of earnings in this. For them, it is completely inexplicable how a person can with zeal perform a similar work: to conduct an study of anatomical material evidence from human tissues, parts of the body and injuries.

I want to assure you that we are the same people as everyone else. We can enter the position of another, sympathize. Continuous interaction with death at the workplace subjects a critical assessment of their own perception of life. It forces to constantly rethink priorities, to think about what is really important for you personally.

Although, of course, medical forensicity is not "ordinary" work. In our book, we open the door to the world of forensic medicine for readers and we want to show that it is this science that often gives undeniable evidence, on the basis of which sentences in court are sentenced. We hope to give an idea of those aspects in the investigation of crimes that usually remain unknown to the general public: the importance of a competent inspection of the crime scene and photographing the body, that a small detail can play a decisive role in the disclosure of the murder.

Welcome to our world. Hope you enjoy.
