The textbook covers the issues of etiology, pathogenesis, classification of the underlying therapeutic diseases. The approaches to the examination and treatment of patients with the most common diseases of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary systems, endocrine systems, blood diseases, musculoskeletal system and connective tissue are also presented in real clinical practice. Sections such as examination and treatment are presented from the standpoint of the currently existing algorithms, standards and protocols for the provision of medical care to patients with diseases of internal organs. The textbook also sets out the basic principles of military medical and medical and social examinations. The author’s team is based on professor, associate professors and teachers of the department of hospital therapy named after Professor V.N. Sirotinin.
The first edition of the textbook was highly appreciated in the nomination “The Best Educational and Methodological Work of the Military Medical Academy” among the faculty of the Academy in 2015. Subsequently, the textbook was repeatedly reprinted with changes. This publication is supplemented by a brief essay on the history of the first department of hospital therapy in Russia.
The textbook is built taking into account the subject of the educational process, carried out at the department of hospital therapy of the Academy.
The publication is intended for cadets and students of the 6th year of faculties of training doctors. It will also be useful for residents, graduate students, and specialist doctors
