A brief publication of the National leadership “HIV-infection and AIDS” contains relevant, modern information on HIV/ AIDS, necessary for practical specialists. It presents the modern epidemic situation on HIV infection, features of diagnosis, clinical course, including basic secondary and concomitant lesions, as well as patient tactics: antiretroviral therapy, dispensary observation, psychological support of patients and palliative care. Preventive and anti-epidemic measures are considered, including issues of pre- and post-contact prevention. The publication includes a new section on the coronavirus infection of the Covid-19 and its treatment in patients with HIV infection.
In the applications to the publication, information about all anti-Rurirhh drugs used in the Russian Federation, special methods for laboratory diagnostics of HIV infection and treatment monitoring, as well as material about the features of antiretroviral therapy in children, maps containing information necessary when designing a medical documentation.
