5 years have passed since the release of the book “heart disease in pregnant women”. During this time, domestic and foreign cardiologists specified or even revised some recommendations for conducting and delivery of patients with heart defects and arrhythmias. Based on clinical observations, the authors of this leadership expanded their own experience in this contingent. Particular attention of practicing doctors is drawn to the defeat of the aorta of various etiologies, followed by its relaxation as one of the main causes of maternal mortality in economically developed countries, along with pulmonary hypertension and cardiomyopathy.
In accordance with modern recommendations, indications for various methods of examining pregnant women, including radioisotopic and radiological, are presented in detail, the confusing preparation of pregnant women with heart defects is examined in detail. The structure of each chapter for the first time includes a detailed description of approaches to anesthetic manual both in independent childbirth and operational delivery. The chapter dedicated to the management of pregnant women with diffuse diseases of the connective tissue is supplemented, since in such patients the development of a number of complications often determines damage to the heart and especially blood vessels.
