The publication outlines modern ideas about the structure and genetic features of the parasite, the mechanisms of its pathological effect on the human body, including paradoxical effects. Epidemiology, pathogenesis and pathomorphogenesis of lambliosis are reflected. The modern classification of the disease is given, clinical forms and age -related features are described. The management contains evidence -based information on the treatment of giardiasis with drugs registered abroad and in the Russian Federation, as well as an overview of promising studies on adjuvant leutzbiosis therapy. The project of the protocol and treatment methods for the conditions for the provision of medical care for giardiasis in children is given.
