This book is a manual for the study of genetics for dog breeders. The first part contains basic information on general and classical genetics that dog breeders need to know for successful practical breeding dogs. The second part is devoted to the private genetics of the dog and includes chapters on the inheritance of signs of the exterior, color, behavior, etc. The third part talks about the basics of population genetics and breeding the dog. The fourth part describes the hereditary anomalies and diseases of the dogs.
The authors of this book are M. N. Sotskaya (candidate of biological sciences, Honored Kindergarten of Russia, Associate Professor of the Department of General Psychology of the Institute of Experimental Psychology of the MGPPU) and N. N. Moskovkin (candidate of biological sciences) - professional biologists who graduated from the Biology Department of Moscow State University, authors of numerous books and articles devoted to dogs, having extensive experience in teaching in dogovological courses of various cynological organizations of Russia.
When creating the book, the authors relied on a huge amount of information published in various scientific sources. The book is well illustrated and written by an accessible ordinary reader with a language.
