The textbook is written by a team of teachers of the surgical departments of the Siberian State Medical University in accordance with the university program for general surgery and on the basis of their experience in surgical science and clinical practice.
Taking into account the modern level of knowledge and the requirements of evidence -based medicine, the textbook presents the mandatory sections on aseptics and antiseptics, surgical infection, transfusiology, anesthesiology, oncology, organizing surgical service, patient care, and also given the currently classifications of surgical diseases , methods for their diagnosis, traditional and modern video endoscopic methods of treatment.
The publication contains illustrative material in the form of tables, schemes of operations, drawings, operating photos, as well as test questions for each section for better assimilation of knowledge and self -control of students.
