At the end of the last century, the primary level doctors began to perform the function of dispatchers, the main goal of which is to direct the patient to a narrow specialist. Over time, this situation ceased to arrange doctors, patients and healthcare managers. In 1992, an order was prepared and signed “On a phased transition to the organization of primary medical care on the principle of general practice (family doctor)”, which allowed the principles of the family doctor’s work in primary health care.
Teaching a specialist - a general practitioner (family doctor) is impossible without quality literature. The proposed leadership was prepared by teachers of the department of therapy, general medical practice and nuclear medicine RNIMU named after N.I. Pirogov with the active participation of doctors and teachers of the best school of family doctors - University of Ayova (USA) The leadership sets out basic information on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that family doctors are found in everyday activity. A distinctive feature of the publication is the brevity and visibility of the presentation of the material. The data presented are based on many years of experience in the work of family doctors and are presented taking into account the features of the provision of medical care in the outpatient and stationary stages with a detailed description of actions in emergency conditions.
The manual is intended for general practitioners (family doctors), therapists, pediatricians, as well as for doctors of all specialties, students of post -disciplinary education faculties and students of medical universities
