The systematic approach underlines the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases. The monograph provides a critical analysis of its reductionist and holistic interpretations, each of which is separately insufficient and ultimately internally contradictory. The revolutionary significance of the theory of functional systems of P.K. Anokhin in the spread of holistic representations in physiology and medicine is substantiated.
