The textbook was compiled in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary Professional Education in the specialty 31.02.05 "Dentistry Orthopedic" for the methodological support of interdisciplinary courses "Foundry in dentistry", which are part of professional modules "manufacture of non -removable prostheses"
(PM.02) and "Production of begel dentures" (PM.03).
It presents the conditions of the organization of the foundry laboratory, material science in the field of dental casting, the consistent stages of the production of dental casting and its defects. Questions for monitoring knowledge will allow students to objectively evaluate the level of development of educational material on the topics of interdisciplinary courses and determine the degree of their preparedness for classes and future professional activities.
The textbook structure includes illustrations, schemes, tables, questions and test tasks for self -testing and algorithms for performing key stages in the foundry, as well as the technological requirements for these stages. The publication is intended for students and teachers of the Orthopedic Dentistry Department of Medical Colleges
(PM.02) and "Production of begel dentures" (PM.03).
