The textbook was compiled in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary Professional Education in the specialty 31.02.05 "Dentistry Orthopedic" for the methodological support of interdisciplinary courses "Foundry in dentistry", which are part of the professional modules "manufacture of non -removable prostheses"
( PM.02) and "manufacture of begel dentures" (PM.03)
It presents the conditions of the organization of the foundry laboratory, materials science in the field of dental casting, the consistent stages of the manufacture of dental casting and its defects. Questions for monitoring knowledge will allow students to objectively assess the level of development of educational material on the topics of interdisciplinary courses and determine the degree of their preparedness for classes and future professional activities.
The textbook structure includes illustrations, schemes, tables, questions and test tasks for self -testing and algorithms for performing key stages in foundry, as well as technological requirements for these stages. The publication is intended for students and teachers of the Orthopedic Dentistry Department of Medical Colleges
