Thin -iginal aspiration biopsy is a complex section of cytological diagnosis, requiring coordinated consistent command work. This publication contains information about the significance of each of the stages of this study: features of obtaining material and sampling, information about the pre -analytical stage of working with cytological material, the possibilities of conducting a tab using modern visualizing diagnostic methods. The book gives a panoramic idea of the cytological diagnosis of tumor and non -bearing pathology of various organs and tissues in adults and children. Modern approaches are reflected in the interpretation of the biopsy material of anatomical areas that cause the greatest difficulties: tumors of the head and neck, breast, skin, bones, soft tissues and internal organs. The chapters on the pathology of the parathyroid glands, eye sockets and appendages of the eye, spleen are unique. The features of the interpretation of the material obtained by the tab of the lymph nodes are set out in detail. Separate nosologies or their groups are considered from the standpoint of key features, differential diagnosis and the role of additional methods for diagnosis. Each section presents both typical and rare nosologies, and rich illustrative material is accompanied by a detailed description.
The book was written by the authoritative Swedish pathologist X.A. Domanski, who has been engaged in cytological diagnostics for many years, co -authorship with famous pathologists from a number of Western European countries, Great Britain and the USA. It is conceived by the authors as a practical atlas reference and therefore claims to become a desktop for each cytologist.
For the convenience of understanding international terminology, the Russian translation editor decided to leave the word carcinoma in the text when it comes to specific nosologies.
