The monograph is devoted to the urgent problem of pediatric epileptology - the diagnosis and principles of treatment of specific epileptic syndromes debut in children in the first year of life included in the modern classification of epilepsy or under the development and accumulation of clinical material. In addition, the author examines paroxysmal non -epileptic phenomena with a debut at an early age, which, due to some similarity of clinical manifestations, can cause erroneous diagnosis of epilepsy in children.
The monograph reflects many years of experience in the author’s work in the neurological departments of the Children"s City Hospital of St. Olga of St. Petersburg, as well as a critical analysis of world literature on this problem.
