The leadership presents the results of the 60-year work of the author in the field of children"s and adult neurology and epileptology. For the first time, epileptology is presented in the age continuum. The gender aspect of epilepsy is considered, especially important in women. Aspects of the essence of epilepsy, mechanisms of anti -epileptic protection and paroxysmality of the brain are presented. For 30 years, the pathogenesis of abscess seizures was studied, for the first time their focal origin was shown.
Based on the ideas about incentivensive seizures, the relationship between the occipital and frontal centers of the visual function, the dynamics of the concept of epileptic status, taking into account its fifty -year study, was first discovered and studied between convulsive epileptic seizures and the importance of comorbits in patients with a sudden Inexplicable death.
Particular attention is paid to the modern strategy and tactics for the treatment of epilepsy, including alternative methods. The social and bioemic aspects of epilepsy are considered, an algorithm of ethical support for the treatment of various vulnerable groups of patients with epilepsy is proposed.
