The book presents basic information about etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of the most common acute infectious diseases, including new nosological forms that have become relevant in the XXI century.
Recommendations are given on the main clinical syndromes and conducting patients with a severe course of some infectious diseases in the conditions of resuscitation departments. All materials are set out taking into account the modern world situation. Much attention is paid to the spread of infectious diseases. The causes of resistance to antimicrobial drugs, current data on antibiotic resistance are reflected.
