Drug-induced diseases. Volume 5. Monograph

The monograph is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of drug-induced diseases and consists of 12 sections. The seventh section "Medicine-induced diseases in endocrinology", presented in this volume, contains information about drug-induced hyper- and hypoglycemia, thyroid dysfunction, osteoporosis and weight gain. In the eighth section "drug-induced dyselectrolythemia and hyperuricemia/gout", which is also contained in this volume, issues of drug-induced electrolyte deficiency (hypokalemia, hypomagnesia, hyponatremia, hypocalcium, hypofosphateemia), hyperkalicia, hypernemia, hypercalzemia, and hypercalcemia are discussed. Perukurikemia. Each chapter provides data on epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment and prevention of an appropriate drug-induced disease or syndrome.
Each chapter is illustrated by a table in which drugs are summarized, the use of which is associated with the development of a certain drug-induced disease, the frequency and pathophysiological mechanisms of its development against the background of individual drugs and evidence levels.
In other sections of monographs, drug-induced diseases in cardiology, hematology, gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, neurology, and psychiatry are also examined in detail.
