This monograph is devoted to urgent problems of biological, legal, ethical aspects of the DNA identification of personality and DNA registration of the population. Separately, some important milestones in the studies of DNA molecules are described and information is given about the genomic organization and types of human polymorphism. Almost all the developed approaches to the DNA identification are considered and, despite the fact that the majority in forensic practice did not find wide application, they nevertheless deserve to be mentioned. A certain emphasis is placed on new marker features that potentially can complement and even replace the now widely used. Attention has been paid to the formation of DNA databases of individuals using digitalization, which has recently acquired more and more importance. The issues of the entire population discussed for many years in different countries of the DNA registration of the entire population have been raised, which will happen without a doubt, which will significantly increase crimes, which, moreover, should certainly become less due to the inevitability of punishments, and serial cases will generally have to disappear since the criminal will be detained before he has time to commit a new one. In addition, the individuals of people who died as a result of natural disasters, technogenic disasters and other tragedies will be promptly established, the search for the missing persons, identification of the corpses of unknown persons, as well as the identification of people suffering from memory loss and incapable of informing about themselves, will be facilitated (including young children).
