The new, fifth, publication of the leadership provides the fundamental principles of modern clinical dietetics in combination with the presentation of the clinical features of the course of diseases and pathological processes. The content of the publication combines the scientific aspects of the patient’s nutrition and practical recommendations for the use of diet therapy in specific situations of the organization of medical nutrition in stationary and outpatient conditions. Compared to previous publications of the leadership (2001,2006,2008,2012), a significant processing of the material was carried out taking into account modern representations and achievements of domestic and foreign dietetics and the own experience of the author"s team.
