This monograph presents the results of the 30-year work of employees of the Institute of Age-related Physiology of the RAO for the study of tissue and systemic mechanisms that determine the age development of the muscle performance of children and adolescents. Biochemical and histochemical studies performed on growing laboratory animals (rats, guinea pigs) and on sectional material, which allow you to open thin tissue mechanisms of age-related muscle transformations, are combined in monographs with large-scale studies of school-age children, including a unique 10-year longittean experiment on identifying individual and typological trajectories of the most important components of energy support for muscle work.
Along with the solution of a complex of fundamental tasks, the monograph has an important applied value, since it contains a description of a number of specific methodological methods of testing various aspects of the physical body of the child"s body, which can be used in physical education, child and youth sports, sports medicine , anthropology and other practical applications for the physiology of muscle activity.
