The publication is devoted to the basics of the implementation of a layer-in-law (tomographic) study of the maxillofacial region. In computed tomography, as a multifactorial study, physical, mathematical, biological, medical and scientific-practical aspects are interconnected, a combination of which represents certain difficulties for mental structuring. The tomography methodology opens the opportunity to visualize the invisible sections of the skull and teeth, which improves the quality of diagnostic research and planning of therapeutic actions.
The book sets out the principle of operation of computer tomographs, describes the features of the formation and perception of 3D objects exposed to X-ray radiation. Morphometric methods of studying digital models of the dentist system and methods of their use for diagnostic purposes are given.
