The first six editions of “clinical oncogynecology” were released due to the fact that the need for a comprehensive guide dedicated to the problems of malignant tumors of the female genital organs and intended doctors, interns, students, as well as everyone who is related to the treatment of this category of patients. Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of the clinical manifestations of diseases and their treatment. We have preserved this style in the new, seventh, publication. Like any other clinical leadership, the authors could not resist expressing their own opinion on a number of questions, especially in situations where there are not one, but several approaches to the treatment of a particular state. Nevertheless, the main sections of oncogynecology are highlighted in full and are equipped with many references to the latest publications, which allows us to consider this leadership as an exhaustive directory for doctors, as well as a training manual for students, interns and clinical residents.
As before, at the beginning of each chapter there is a plan of its content. The 7th edition includes new topics and the previous ones are significantly supplemented. New recommendations for the treatment of cervical cancer, vulva and breast cancer were made, as well as tips for caring for patients in terminal condition, information about genetic disorders with malignant tumors, laparoscopic operations, new information about the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer was completed.
