The real book, the author of which is a doctor of medical sciences, professor E. N. Vinarskaya, became the first monograph written by a clinician in neurolinguistics - a new border science that has arisen in our time at the junction of neuropathology and linguistics, disciplines of biological and humanitarian profiles. The book is aimed at discussing primarily the clinical problems of aphasia. Thanks to the neurolinguistic approach, new opportunities are opened in solving traditional clinical problems. Among these problems are the essence of aphasia, pathogenesis and mechanisms of compensation for aphasical syndromes, the principles of differential diagnosis of aphasia, speech agnosia and speech araxia, the possibilities of a topical diagnosis of aphasia and methods of their classification, methods of studying patients with aphasia and others. The discussion of these issues is based on materials obtained by neurolinguistic examination of patients with focal brain lesions and clinical syndrome of the so -called afferent motor aphasia.
