This book - the AJCC malignant guide guide - is a universal basis for determining the prognosis and planning of the treatment of cancer. In the work on the creation of the next, 8th edition of the TNM classification, about 420 experts of various cancer specialties from 22 countries of the world took part.
This publication of the leadership is an important step towards a personalized approach regarding the stage of cancer patients, which is designed to ensure effective decision -making at the patient’s bed due to a number of significant changes. Each head of the leadership now includes a detailed list of prognostic factors, divided into groups necessary to determine the stage recommended for use in clinical practice and promising. Criteria for evaluating statistical models and predictive scales are proposed. With some localizations of tumors, including a prostate, mammary gland, colon cancer, predictive models for clinical use are selected on the basis of these criteria. 12 new stadium systems are presented, including the HPV-associated cancer of the oropharynx, bone tumors, soft tissue sarcoma of various localizations, and so on.
For ease of use, the Russian-speaking version is presented in the form of 3 volumes: tumors of thoraco-abdominal localization, tumors of the head and neck, mammary gland, oncogynecology, cancer, mesenchymal tumors, central nervous system neoplasms, and hematology.
The management is accompanied by an atlas and is intended for a wide range of doctors - oncologists, surgeons, chemotherapists, radiation therapists, pathomorphologists, radiation diagnostics
