This textbook is a textbook compiled as part of the program of the history of the history of medicine read at the St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University and corresponds to the Federal State Educational Standard in the preparation of specialty 31.02.02 "Pediatrics (level of specialty), approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of 17.08 .2015 No. 853. Readers is approved as a textbook for students with the educational and methodological council of St. Petersburg State Pedagogical Physics.
As illustrations reflecting pediatric problems in the fiction, the textbook includes excerpts of 200 multi -gingeous works of 158 authors, covering a temporary period of more than three millennia. Each text has issues for thinking and discussion in seminars. At the end of the book, the topics of coursework based on the materials of the anthology are proposed.
