The monograph sets out the doctrine of celiac disease. In the historical aspect, etiology, theories of pathogenesis and the evolution of information about prevalence are considered. The dependence of the clinical forms of celiacia on the degree of sensitivity to gluten is shown. The features of the clinical picture and the diseases associated with it are described in detail. The idea of celiac disease as an interdisciplinary pathology due to autoimmune inflammation is confirmed. On the basis of its own long -term clinical material, modern classifications of the disease proposed by consensus are discussed, including Russian consensus of gastroenterologists and pediatricians of 2016. A new direction in the development of the doctrine of celiac disease is put forward, based on the study of patients with membrane digestion and the influence of cytoprotectors on the activity of membrane enzymes .
