"Cariesology" is the most important section of therapeutic dentistry. This textbook on this section was prepared by employees of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of the Dental Faculty of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov and covers the issues of diagnosis, clinical manifestations, treatment and prevention of caries, non -carious lesions and their complications. In recent decades, patients" demand has increased to improve the aesthetic component of a smile, they have high demands on the process and treatment results, in this regard, there was a need to systematize and expand for students the volume of theoretical knowledge in the field of diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
